Handcrafted in Finnish Lapland, the Kirjalaon spoon is sculpted from natural birch burl, showcasing its unique and elegant wood grain. Its long, slender shape makes it the perfect companion to any kuksa: gentle on wood, it won’t scratch the bottom of your cup.
Equipped with a reindeer leather strap, it can be easily attached to your kuksa handle – ideal for carrying on hikes or trips.
The wood has been treated with salt water and coffee to naturally harden it and give it a rich brown hue, while increasing its resistance to moisture. Each spoon is a one-of-a-kind piece, carved with care and respect for the material.

This cutlery is made in the far north, in Finnish Lapland.

To keep this cutlery in good condition, with its beautiful color and shine, you need to maintain it with oil or a protective wax. You can buy grapeseed oil in our store, or a homemade protective wax.

We recommend that you wash your cutlery before using it. To wash it, use lukewarm, not hot, water and a natural, chemical-free soap. Once the cutlery has been washed, dry it immediately with a cloth. You mustn't leave it to dry on its own, as the wood will soak up all the water.
