Do you know Joulutortut? It's puff pastry folded into a star shape and filled with jam. Traditionally they are filled with plum jam but you can use any jam you like.

Preheat your oven to 200°C.
Unroll your puff pastry and place it on baking paper. Then cut out 8 by 8 cm squares with a pastry wheel or a cookie cutter. The pastry wheel will give you a nice wavy cut!
Using the pastry wheel, make incisions in each corner of the squares. These incisions should not meet in the center of the square! Leave about 1.5 to 2 cm uncut in the center of the square.
This step is a little more complicated than the others, so I advise you to follow the video closely.
You will fold down every other corner toward the center of the square, starting with the top-right corner. Press the dough well in the center so the shape does not move during baking.
In the center of each square, place a spoonful of plum jam. Plum jam has been used for many years in Finland, but if you don't like it, you can use another jam!
Bake your Christmas stars (Joulutortut) at 200°c for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the power of your oven. When they come out of the oven, your Joulutortut should be golden brown and the puff pastry should have risen.
To make your Joulutortut prettier, sprinkle icing sugar on top and enjoy!
Enjoy them warm, it's even better 🤩
