Sarvi means “antler” in Finnish. This little spoon is cut from a piece of reindeer antler from Finnish Lapland, sanded by hand until one end forms a hollow, like a spoon.
Every year, reindeer shed their antlers naturally. Herders collect them and turn them into everyday objects, as people in Lapland have always done. No animal is harmed.
Its reindeer leather cord ties it to the handle of a kuksa, so the spoon stays with the cup and never gets lost on a hike. Reindeer antler is very strong, almost indestructible: Sarvi will go with its kuksa for years.
Every piece is unique: shape, colour and size vary. On average, Sarvi is 10 cm long and 1.5 cm wide.

Sarvi is for stirring coffee in your kuksa. You can also eat a puuro (Finnish porridge) with it, for example. It is a small spoon: it is not made for a full meal.
