This trivet is made from several small pieces of alder logs cut in the shape of a heart. The logs are all cut to the same thickness, then glued together on an alder wood base. In the center is an animal also cut from alder wood.

To keep this trivet in good condition, with its beautiful color and shine, you need to maintain it with oil or a protective wax. You can buy grapeseed oil in our store, or a homemade protective wax.

To keep your trivet in good condition, you shouldn't leave it to soak in water. Large quantities of water will damage the wood, and in the case of this product, there's a risk that the water will cause the logs to come unstuck.
