The Koira Kuksa is hand-carved in Finnish Lapland from Karelian curly birch. This precious wood, shaped by the harsh northern climates, is renowned for its exceptional grain and great strength.
Each piece is unique with a capacity of approximately 18 cl (varying according to the wood). Its size makes it a versatile cup, perfect for a coffee, tea, or hot drink after a day in the forest.
Carefully oiled to protect the wood and preserve its natural glow, it features a two-hole handle and a reindeer leather strap. An authentic, robust, and durable object.

Karelian curly birch wood comes from a tree that grows mainly in the Karelian region of eastern Finland in extreme weather conditions.

We recommend that you wash your kuksa before using it. To wash this kuksa, use lukewarm, not hot, water and a natural, chemical-free soap. Once the cup has been washed, wipe it with a clean tea towel or let it dry in the open air, away from heat sources (radiator, stove, direct sunlight).

To keep this kuksa in good condition, with its beautiful color and shine, you need to maintain it with oil or a protective wax. You can buy grapeseed oil in our store, or a homemade protective wax.

No! None of our wooden products are microwave-safe. Microwave heat will deteriorate the wood and cause it to crack.

During transport, the kuksa has undergone various temperature variations. Before pouring a hot liquid into it, be sure to let the wood return to room temperature. As a precaution, you may wish to run your kuksa under lukewarm (not hot) water before use.

This kuksa can be used to enjoy hot or cold drinks. The wood will naturally keep your drink cool or warm.
