Gift ideas from Lapland

Giving a kuksa means giving a small piece of the Finnish forest. Each one is hand-carved from birch in Lapland, and no two are alike. To help you choose, I have sorted our ideas by budget and by person. And if you are still unsure, write to me at hello@kuksa.shop: I reply myself. Anne-Laure, from Posio

Frequently asked questions

Does the kuksa arrive ready to give?

Yes: every kuksa ships in a gift box, with a handwritten note.

Can I send it directly to the recipient?

Yes, just enter their address as the delivery address. No price or invoice is included in the parcel.

What if they don't like it?

You have 14 days after delivery to return it. For Christmas purchases, the return period is extended until 15 January.

How do I care for a kuksa?

Rinse it in lukewarm water, without soap and without soaking, then dry it with a tea towel or in the open air. Never in the dishwasher. A small care sample is included in every parcel.

What is the difference between curly birch and birch burl?

Karelian curly birch has pretty little flecks in the wood. Birch burl comes from a growth on the trunk: it is denser, rarer, and its grain forms unique patterns.
