Find out how our products are made and from which wood.
Our authentic kuksa are hand carved in Lapland in the respect of the Sami traditions. They are carved in one piece from birch burl, a growth of the tree.
Our natural kuksa are hand-carved from Masur birch from Karelia. Masur wood appears on birch trees that grow in very harsh climatic conditions. ❄️
The Kupilka company was the first Finnish company to use green electricity for its production. 🌿
It also created a new material from the wood of Finnish forests. Thus, Kareline was born, a material that is sustainable over time and can be recycled, burned or returned to the factory for reuse.♻️
Our other wooden products are made of various types of wood. Our other wooden products are made of various types of wood, some from Finland and others from France.
The woods we work with are alder, juniper, olive, walnut or oak. But what we prefer to carve is burl! That's why we have many products in elm burl or olive ash burl.
Add a personal touch to your wooden products. Have a meaningful message engraved and offer memorable moments forever, whether for yourself or a loved one.

A truly beautiful kuksa: pure craftsmanship. The love of the maker is reflected in the staff of the shop: with attention to all details: how to treat, how to clean and especially how to enjoy. And the latter partly because of the personal attention through (even a handwritten) message(s). A truly special purchase and experience!

In honor of my father's Finnish ancestry, I wanted something from Finland that was not only "Made In Finland", but something traditional with history behind it, and the Kuksa did not disappoint. I am so pleased with the quality and detail of this hand crafted piece... it is something I will cherish all of my days! I highly recommend this shop and the products they sell! Thank you for your kindness and generosity with the "Thank You" gifts.

Owning a real Kuksa is something I have wanted for some time. I was also very pleased with the reindeer horn key chain in the shape of a Kuksa that was given to me as a gift.

Incredibly friendly, personalised and efficient customer service. And even accompanied the beautiful Kuksa cup with a beautiful Christmas decoration and key ring. This is the second time I've purchased a kuksa cup and each time the experience has been a real pleasure.

My experience with the Kuska Shop was outstanding from beginning to end. I was looking for a tradional kuska and found just what I was looking for from this site. Ordering was easy and fast. Shipping was fast as well. My cup was very well protected with straw like packaging material and boxed to withstand it's long journey by mail. Directions on how to maintain my kuska was also included. Couldn't ask for anything more.
